A study conducted by Safe In India, an NGO found that out of more than 1300 workers with crush injuries in Gurugram Manesar area's automobile industry had injuries due to lack of safety measures. The report found 52% of the accidents took place on power press machine & 83% of all machines lack proper safety sensors.
