On September 23, the government amended the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010. This law that regulates the foreign funds that are received by non-governmental organisations (NGOs) has become more stringent. The recent amendments will potentially make it harder for NGOs, particularly the grassroot ones, to avail of foreign funds.
