In this week's episode, we bring to you an interview with Kannan Gopinathan, an IAS officer who resigned from his position as secretary, power department of Daman and Diu following the communication blockade in Kashmir. With Kashmir being on lockdown for over 53 days, Mr Gopinathan tells us why dissent is key for any healthy democracy. Over the course of the interview, Mr Gopinathan also asked one question repeatedly -if we truly care enough for the nation and asks why not many Indians were raising voice against the continuing violation of rights of the Kashmiris.
Kannan Gopinathan, who was earlier District Collector of Dadra and Nagar Haveli had shot to the limelight for his selfless work during Kerala floods. He kept his identity anonymous while working for flood-affected people, till another officer recognized him.
